Garson, Poker Celebrity!
 With
a skillful play, forcing Ben Affleck
to go all in on the last hand of their game together, Evil Willie
(as he came to be known) won the pot with two pair and sent
the California State Champ packing. You may not have guessed
it from the character he plays on "Sex in the City,"
but Willie Garson can play. I got to play against him at Hollywood
Poker's tsunami relief tournament very briefly, and James
Woods was at the same table. The two of them were hilarious,
but what was even funnier was watching Willie, when he had to
leave, go all-in on EVERY SINGLE HAND, and even though he was
trying to, he couldn't lose! He just kept winning!
Willie Garson has probably been in more television
shows and movies than you realize, and you've probably seen
him numbers of times and thought, "Hey - I think I know
that guy." Well, that's because he's been in all your favourite
shows at one time or another. He's appeared in, to name a few,
"Mr. Belvedere," "Family Ties," "Cheers,"
"Newhart," "My Two Dads," "Quantum
Leap," "Twin Peaks"... The list goes on and on.
Most recently he had a recurring role as Stanford Blatch on
"Sex and the City" with his longtime friend Sarah
Jessica Parker.
