Tobey Maguire, Poker Celebrity!

Tobey's no fish. Sure, he looks at you with those watery baby blues and you melt, and he just seems so sweet, but don't be fooled: sit him at a poker table and put some chips in front of him, and you may find yourself wishing you had some of that Spidey Sense of his. In October of 2004 Tobey won the Phil Hellmuth Invitational Tournament, his first major tournament, by beating out 123 other players for the $246,000 prize pool, including some big name poker stars like Reza Payvar, Marcel Sabag and Glenn Cozen. Phil Helmuth himself predicted that Tobey will become a poker star.

Audiences first got to know Tobey when he appeared in the short film "The Duke of Groove" with Kiefer Sutherland and Uma Thurman, and then in Woody Allen's "Deconstructing Harry." After that it was all uphill for Tobey when he appeared in such critically-acclaimed films as "The Ice Storm," "Wonder Boys," the Oscar-nominated "Ciderhouse Rules" and "Seabiscuit." Most recently he's appeared in the Spider-Man movies with Kirsten Dunst and James Franco. You may have heard of them.
