Matthew Perry, Poker Celebrity!

I don't mean to be telling tales out of school, but I've heard that Matthew Perry has a bit of an... addictive personality. So I wasn't very surprised when I read in a recent interview that he has a new addiction: online gambling, and online poker specifically. No news on where he plays yet, but hopefully that'll come out soon. In the meantime he's been kicking some butt on the Celebrity Poker Showdown.

In case you've been living under a rock, Matthew Perry played the ultra-neurotic funnyman Chandler Bing on "Friends," one of the most popular television shows of all time. But that's far from his only claim to fame; at 15, when he was still living in Ottawa, Ontario, he was a professional tennis player, and by the time he moved to L.A. with his dad he was nationally ranked, just like Vince Van Patten. He's also appeared in several feature films including "The Whole Nine Yards" and its sequel with Bruce Willis and Amanda Peet, "Almost Heroes" with Chris Farley, and "Serving Sara" with Elizabeth Hurley. Right now he appears on "The West Wing," but it isn't really necessary: "Friends" will be in syndication until the sun explodes.
