Ed Giddins, Poker Celebrity!

Edward Simon Hunter Giddins was born on 20 July 1971 in Eastbourne, Sussex in the United Kingdom. Giddens still resides in Eastbourne. Ed Giddins played cricket for Hampshire, Sussex, Warwickshire, Surrey; as well as for England.

In May 2004 Ed Giddins was fined £5000, plus £1000 costs, and banned from playing in any match under the jurisdiction of the ECB for five years. Giddins was found guilty of placing a bet of around £7000 on Surrey (his county at the time) to lose to Northampton shire in a National League game in August 2002. Giddins pleaded not guilty to the charge, but did not dispute any of the facts brought before the ECB panel.

Giddens now has two children, Bella and Max. Giddens started playing poker in 2003, and enjoys pot limit Texas Hold'em. Giddens seems to be a great and consistent poker player as he has only played in 9 poker tournaments and has made 5 final tables.
