Sinclair, Poker Celebrity!
Sir Clive Marles Sinclair was born on July 30, 1940 near Richmond
upon Thames. Sinclair is a British entrepreneur and inventor
of the world's first pocket calculator in 1962. Clive was fascinated
by electronics from an early age and started his own company
in 1961, Sinclair Radionics Ltd after spending several years
as an assistant editor for Practical Wireless and Instrument
Practice. Sinclair's company produced calculators, personal
computers and other electronic equipment. He marketed the world's
first pocket calculator, the world's first digital wristwatch
and the first pocket TV.
Clive Sinclair was knighted in 1983 and is a keen
poker player and has appeared on the Late Night Poker TV series.
