Carrie Fisher, Poker Celebrity!

Seriously: can you imagine playing poker against Princess Leia?? Carrie played a solid poker game when she appeared on Celebrity Poker Showdown, finishing third under David Cross and Mimi Rogers. Her charity, the Midnight Mission, must have been happy to hear that.

Other than poker, though, she's best known - like I need to tell you - for her role as Princess Leia in the first Star Wars Trilogy. And though that's obviously not a bad thing to be known for, it's unfortunate that her future successes have gone largely unnoticed by the mainstream public. After battling and beating a prescription drug addiction, a problem that ended her marriage to Paul Simon and nearly her life as well, she published her first novel, a semi-autobiography entitled Postcards From the Edge, which was made into a successful movie. Since then she has appeared in select movies, including "When Harry Met Sally" and a bit part in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery," preferring to spend her time writing and raising her children.
